Ciclo de conferencias “Política y planificación lingüísticas en el mundo actual”: Sue Wright
El viernes, 27 de noviembre a las 11 horas, la profesora Dra. Sue Wright, catedrática de Lingüística y Política en la Universidad de Portsmouth (UK), impartirá una conferencia en el Aula Magna titulada: “Why do we speak the languages we do? A comparison of the role of elites in France, Spain and the UK”.
Sue Wright is a Professor of Language and Politics at the Centre for International and European Studies Research, University of Portsmouth. She is co-editor of Sociolinguistica and co-editor of Palgrave’s Language and Globalisation book series. The second edition of her book, Language Policy and Language Planning: from nationalism to globalisation, will be published early 2016. She is currently a member of the International Panel for Social Progress, working on questions of exclusion and inclusion to do with language.
